NDBA Architects has, since its foundation always strived to produce high quality Architecture combined with a comprehensive and thoroughly professional service to its clients. Through the involvement of its principals in Architectural Education and Professional Practice issues with our representative body, the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI), the practice has always kept up to date with design; planning and regulation changes. As a practice, we constantly improve our service through regular reviews and analysis of the quality and value of each project during its design, construction and particularly post completion. NDBA Architects operate using a number of Quality Management Systems. These systems are developed around the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland ‘Good Practice Guide’ and the RIBA ‘Workbook’ procedures and ISO 9001:2000 standard.
NDBA Architects Limited has a highly qualified & experience design team; a mixture of enthusiastic youth and mature experienced. All staff are encouraged to constantly strive to meet targets and goals both at a personal and a practice level. We support and encourage our staff to partake in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses and regularly hold in-house training seminars, sharing the knowledge of all staff members and that of external experts. We work in teams to suit projects and personnel and to facilitate consistency. There is a Director or Associate at the head of each team and Project Architects deal with the day to day running of each project with the assistance of Architectural technologists and the Administration staff.
At NDBA we use the customised management software program ‘Streamline’ as a tool to aid the organisation of each project. This program documents each step of a project and manages information centrally for each team member to access programmes, deadlines, key dates, contact information and time management.
Effective communication is an essential element of quality control. The essential elements of structured communication within the office are Regular Team Meetings, Weekly Project Reviews, Client Meetings and Design Team Meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to ensure the efficient use of time, quality control and most importantly to review and improve every aspect of our practice and the service we provide.
