Irish Architecture Awards 2008

The Irish Architectural Awards are Ireland's premier architectural awards. They seek to stimulate public debate on architecture and the built environment by recognising the quality and innovation of Irish Architects and their work of the last year". 2008 saw the highest number of entries ever submitted and those premiated testify to the ever increasing ambition and quality of Irish Architecture. Especially in the category of corporate buildings, some outstanding buildings were nominated this year. Of the 217 entries, 7 Office Developments were premiated. "Where in other European countries the best buildings are usually concentrated in one or two public groups of clients, it is remarkable that in Ireland so many private clients produce such excellent results.
